From June to December, you can witness these magnificent creatures nesting on the shore and even participate in turtle release programs. Seeing baby turtles make their way to the ocean? Mayto is conveniently located about 100 kilometers south of Puerto Vallarta, making it an easy drive through the charming town of El Tuito. Although public transportation options are limited, renting a car or hiring a private driver lets you explore at your leisure. Just remember to respect your surroundings while you’re there—littering is a no-go and keeping noise levels down helps preserve the tranquility of this beautiful area. The locals take great pride in their environment, and being mindful of your impact is a great way to show appreciation for this hidden gem.
